2021.12.06 09:02 Capital_Lynx_7363 Am I entitled to see interview notes made about me?
I recently went for a job which I thought I was highly qualified for. I didn't make it past the first round of interviews which was quite disappointing. I have requested feedback from the company (I don't need a detailed breakdown, just some quick bullet points on what I was perceived to be missing) but have had no response.
I know the interviewers were taking notes during the interview. Am I entitled to see these?

2021.12.06 09:02 KindOfEveryColor Examples of "practical" philosophy?
Philosophy is often considered one of the most abstract and theoretical field out there, in that sense similar to mathematics. But I'm sure there are lots of topics dealt within philosophy that you can call "practical" - something that could be applied to other domains of life (like Ancient Greek philosophies of life, like Epicurus'), including reasearch in other fields (for example, I suspect some results from philosophy of mind or philosophy of mathematics could be helpful in research in neuroscience and math, respectively). I'm deliberately not narrowing it down because I'm interested in different takes of your understanding of "practical" philosophy. That way I hope I can expand my horizons.
For context: I have degree in philosophy and was thinking about my potential PhD subjects. I decided to give myself some time for looking into other things that I might be interested in before goin all-in into my main subject.

2021.12.06 09:02 coolcoolcoolokcool Should I be worried? Possible stomach rupture?
29F, overall healthy. Two days ago I had a bit of a binge and ate until full to a very uncomfortable extent. I know being upright and going on a walk can aid in digestion, but I felt I couldn’t do anything other than lie down. I felt my blood pressure drop and felt a bit faint, got a bout of chills. I did not have a fever. Went to bed shortly after.
Yesterday woke up and experienced mild abdominal pain intermittently, usually with ingestion of food/drink. I had a large and normal bowel movement that morning.
Today I woke up with no pain, but it began again with ingestion. No bowel movements since yesterday.
I have no nausea, vomiting, fever, chills. Just mild pain that comes and goes.
Should I be worried? What is happening in my stomach that’s causing this pain? What should I do in terms of diet/self care to heal? How long can I expect the pain to continue?

2021.12.06 09:02 E30_318is First real workstation. How did I do for spec:price?
Finally replaced my aging "home server" that has served brilliantly for the past decade, but is now showing it's age (i7 2600k, 32GB DDR3) with something a little more fit for purpose, a Precision T5810.
On the face of it, it seems very good value for money but I'm not familiar with the workstation/server market, so I'm putting it out to the homelab community, did I get a good deal?
Spec: Xeon 2660v3 (10c/20t @ 2.6/3.3GHZ) 64GB 2133mhz ECC DDR4 2x WD 500GB NVME M.2 SSDs 1x Intel 256GB SATA SSD 1x 3.5" 1.5TB HDD
The SATA drives were included, and I added the 2x NVMEs.
Tower cost: £280/$370 NVMEs & adaptors: £90/$120
Total cost: £370/$490
Plan is either Server 2019 with Hyper-V, or ESXI.

2021.12.06 09:02 WhereDidThatBringU 205 Oxford St East.. what happened!?
So I go down my elevator this morning and the door opens to the lobby. But there's caution tape preventing me from getting off, and an officer tells me to go to 2nd and take the stairs the rest of the way down. Also I saw a few bloody footprints in the lobby in the 5 seconds I could see things.
I go to 2nd, exit the building by the stairs and outside there are no less than 8-9 police cars with more coming. Everything is taped off.
What the shit.. anyone know anything yet?

2021.12.06 09:02 Glad_Fig1874 PSU cricket like noise
Hey. I will start with the build
Mobo: Asus z-690 f rog strix CPU: i9 12900kf GPU: Asus GeForce RTX 3080ti tuf Memory: 32 GB corsair dominator 5200mhz DDR5 Cooler: corsair icue h150i capellix 360mm PSU: corsair hx1000w platinum Storage: 2TB Samsung 980 nvme Case: corsair icue 465x
So I had this pc built one week ago. Everything was running perfectly and I had no issues regarding noise or anything else whatsoever running video editing software and games on my older 1080p 60hz monitor. After one week when I plugged in my newer 1440p 165hz msi optix mag274qrf-qd, I started hearing gpu coil whine (which was to be expected) and the bigger problem:a loud and weird high frequency electrical cricket sound coming from the PSU. This sound is always there when I run games or more demanding software and dissapears when there is not much load. I can still hear the sound when I move my mouse a ceritan way or open executable files as administrator and I get a pop up for example. Or when I open Windows settings for I can also hear it for 2-3 seconds after the window is displayed. I know this most likely wont affect my system or performance but I am very frustrated as my PSU and components in general are quite high end and are supposed to be of high quality. So very annoying that I get these noise problems. Any idea why this happened after 1 week of use and how it may be fixed?
A link to the sound I mentioned: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hPySJo_2xe47XR4lobE_JJE-0hULqK9Q/view?usp=drivesdk
If you cannot open or download that file for some reason this YouTube clip shows an extremely similar sound.
Thank you and please help this is driving me nuts.

2021.12.06 09:02 TomBarnaby #SPX [Clyde Valley] TomBarnaby kicks off his campaign
TomBarnaby, New Britain’s candidate for Clyde Valley, begins his campaign to be elected to the Scottish Parliament by addressing a room full of renters and those who otherwise do not own the property they live in but would like to.
“I’m delighted and enthused to be here kicking off my campaign in East Kilbride as one of Scotland’s largest towns. The subject of large-scale post-war development, East Kilbride is the perfect place for me to come and discuss New Britain’s plans to revitalise house building in this country to better deliver quality homes for those that want them.
“I don’t think it’s controversial to say that select post-war architectural choices did not necessarily have beauty at their heart, and every town suffers from local authority architects who, for some indeterminate reason, set about building row upon row of charmless houses and buildings.
“We in New Britain firmly believe that property-owning is one of the greatest and most transformative aspirations a person can have, and when realised, it has a snowballing positive effect for individuals and their communities. People with homes have a stake in their communities, they have something to take pride in and to safeguard, they have security. All those things are amplified when the homes people own are beautiful ones, full of character and charm, well-built, sturdy, and pleasant to live in.
“Our steadfast support of the empowering Right-to-Buy policy, that has transformed the U.K. into a property-owning democracy since the days of Thatcher, will see the first point fulfilled. Our incredibly innovative and visionary policy for street votes will satisfy the second criterion, with local residents being given a meaningful say on what developments take place in their neighbourhoods.
“So, as East Kilbride continues to grow, under New Britain it will grow with the consent of its residents, in-keeping with the type of housing stock they want and where. That is how you create healthy and happy communities, and I am very excited to get down to the business of doing it.”
